Up watching The National last night I was fortunate to catch the inimitable Rex Murphy’s Point of View. He can combine seemingly incompatible subjects like the seal hunt with eating hot dogs and the crisis in Darfur, and make audiences rethink our own points of view. I couldn’t shake his comment of : “What the seal hunt ‘controversy’ really is, is a sublime example of cost-free moral posturing.” Are seals really more precious than cows?
